Operating within a complex accounting environment, you will also support group and statutory reporting processes.

• key responsibilities
• Independently handle day-to-day accounting operations
• Record and validate transactions in compliance with BE GAAP and IFRS (IFRS16 knowledge required)
• Prepare and execute monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings
• Analyze, correct, and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate closings
• Manage fixed assets and follow up on repair & maintenance processes (SAP AA and RE-FX modules)
• Perform and monitor account reconciliations and variance analyses
• Review reconciliations prepared by junior GL Accountants
• Document procedures and collect supporting financial documentation
• Identify discrepancies and provide recommendations based on detailed analysis
• Participate in small-scale projects (needs definition, testing, implementation, follow-up)
• Support large-scale projects by sharing practical accounting expertise when requested
• Implement and maintain internal control processes within your scope
• Collaborate closely with other finance and business teams to ensure smooth information flow
• qualifications
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong technical knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS (with a solid understanding of IFRS16)
• Experience with SAP FI/CO, AA, and RE-FX
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with a good command of English
• At least 4–5 years of experience in a general ledger accounting role
• Prior experience with the RE-FX module is an asset
• Deadline-oriented and structured in your approach
• A true team player with a hands-on mentality
• Clear and effective communicator, both internally and externally
• Results-driven, especially in project-based tasks
